UCLouvain

Several units at the UCLouvain are involved in the FoodWal portfolio.

The Institut Biomolecular Science en Technology of Louvain (LIBST) coordinates the portfolio, ensures cohesion between the partners of the three projects and establishes the link with Walloon companies in the food industry. The LIBST is also a scientific partner in the MICROBoost project.

The Metabolism and Nutrition Research Group (MNut) is responsible for the coordination and scientific management of the MICROBoost project. MNut is also a scientific partner in the three projects of the FoodWal portfolio (MICROBoost, PEPTIBoost and PROTEBoost). Its expertise in the development of functional foods (particularly prebiotics) and the detailed characterisation of the intestinal microbiota and its impact on health will be invaluable assets in achieving the objectives set.

The Nutrition Clinical Investigation Centre (CICN) is a scientific partner in the MICROBoost and PROTEBoost projects. The CICN will be in charge of the nutritional clinical studies carried out on human volunteers.
