The accredited research centre CER Groupe is in charge of the coordination and scientific management of the PEPTIBoost project with th University of Liège. This research centre takes an active part in the research developed within the project. It is also a scientific partner in the MICROBoost project.
The CER group has solid expertise in many of the areas covered by the FoodWal portfolio and is involved in various tasks in the PEPTIBoost project. These tasks range from the selection of protein sources, proteases and probiotic strains (necessary for the production of protein hydrolysates) to the production, purification and concentration of the bioactive peptides of interest, but also include the in vitro and in vivo evaluation of the functional properties of these bioactive peptides and in particular their impact on inflammation. Its skills in glycoproteomics are also being put to good use in the MICROBoost project, for which the research centre is responsible for the production, purification and characterisation of new microbiotics (oligosaccharides).
